In the Spring Semester of the 12th grade, students of Loveland Classical School compose a Senior Thesis, a long-term project drawing from and expressing the culmination of their educational experience. Each student works with a faculty advisor, and may write on a subject from any discipline. The completed project must consist of 10 to 12 pages of writing (less if the project includes a performance, demonstration, or artistic production). Each student must present and defend his or her project before a committee of at least 3 staff, who will evaluate the student’s mastery of material and skill at presenting it. The defense is open to the public. Parents and friends are encouraged to attend, lend support, and ask questions at the conclusion.
