Roman Days are coming to Loveland Classical Schools. This all-day event for third grade students is scheduled for Tuesday, January 14, 2014. Roman-related activities are planned for science, history, art, math and P.E. classes. Dressed in Roman costumes all day, students will learn about aqueducts in their science class and focus on roads in history. Then students will become active in making mosaics in art class and completing their math problems in Roman numerals. Chariot races are slated for P.E., and the students will welcome special guests from the LCS sixth grade class for a lesson on Latin during their English class. Additionally, students will recite poetry of Roman and Greek writers and orators and write their spelling words on wax tablets. All activities are scheduled throughout the regular school day. As always, guests are welcomed to visit any of the classes.
