Foundation Board of Directors
The Foundation is a team that focuses on fundraising, grants, and donations to augment and support what LCS needs/would like to have. This team organizes and peruses grants, fundraising, and community outreach and partnership opportunities. Major activities include the "Foundations" annual benefit auction, reloadable gift cards (Scrips), LCS Store, and other goodness. The Foundation works with the Board of Directors and School Staff and Administration to determine needs, determine price points, prioritize, plan, fundraise, and implement ideas at the school.To contact the Foundation, please .
Board President, Chris Woodward
Term: 2012-2013Chris is a father to two LCS boys and has lived in Loveland, Colorado since birth. Chris works fulltime as a Cartographer, making maps and managing spatial data. Having gone through the Thompson School district, he successfully completed a BS in Natural Resources and a Masters focused in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) both from Colorado State University.
He has been happily married to his grade-school sweetheart for 15 years. He and his family enjoy numerous outdoor activities, cub scouts, traveling, and fellowship.
Vice President, Mike Bryant
Term: 2012-2014Mike is the father of three children and holds a masters degree in business administration from Mercer University and an undergraduate degree in communications and management information systems from St. Cloud State University. Mike's career path has enabled him to leverage 15 years of risk management and marketing analytics expertise to help customers around the globe improve how they communicate and manage their valued customers.
Originally from Minnesota, Mike moved to Atlanta, Georgia, after acquiring his undergraduate degree. There he met his wife, Katherine. After living in Atlanta for ten years, Mike and Katherine decided to move Colorado in 2009. His passion for improving our education system has led him to volunteer his time and expertise towards helping the Loveland Classical Schools Foundation Board. In his free time Mike enjoys hiking, running, weight lifting, hunting and accomplishing home improvement projects.
Board Secretary, Julie McArthur
Term: 2012-2014Julie is a stay-at home mother of three boys and one little girl. The boys are currently students at LCS, but her daughter is anxiously waiting for her first day of school in a couple of years. Julie moved to Colorado with her husband in 2002 from Oregon. She has a BA in Interior Design from Oregon State University.
She has been happily married for almost 15 years. She enjoys volunteering at the school, playing with her kids, redesigning and redecorating her home, as well as others’, reading, and taking road trips - 'cuz getting there is half the fun!
Board Treasurer, Shawn Hanson
Term: 2012-2014Shawn and her husband Kent are parents of two LCS girls and have lived in Colorado since 1994. She is a practicing Certified Public Accountant with over 25 years of experience. Shawn is active with the LCS finance committee, her church, and Kairos Youth and Family Services in addition to being a past board member of Birthline of Loveland. She enjoys reading, walking and traveling.
