Foundation Board of Directors

The LCS Foundation is a team of parent volunteers that focuses primarily on fundraising, grants, and donations to augment and support LCS and its needs above and beyond what is provided through the State's PPR (per pupil revenue). This team, which functions much like a PTO (Parent Teacher Organization) at a traditional school, helps to organize and pursue grants, donations and fundraisers, as well as identify and coordinate community outreach and partnership opportunities. Major activities include the annual Golf Tournament, Benefit Auction, King Soopers reloadable gift cards, LCS merchandise and various other activities. The Foundation works with the Board of Directors and LCS Staff and Administration to determine needs and price points, then prioritizes, plans, fundraises, and implements ideas at the school.

President, Julie McArthur

Julie McArthur is a parent of four LCS students. She was one of the original 100+ hour volunteers that helped with information booths and with handing out flyers before the school ever opened. During the first year of LCS, Julie helped organize Friday Staff Lunches for the teachers, Scholastic Book Fairs, and helped start the LCS Foundation in January of 2012. Since then, she has volunteered in many areas of the school, including serving on the ROAR (Raising Opportunities, Assets and Resources).

When she's not at the school, Julie spends her time watching her kids play soccer, baseball, and basketball. She enjoys traveling, watching movies, camping, and spending time with friends and family.
