Board President, Daniel Filler

Term: July 2015 - June 2018

Daniel and his wife Amanda are the parents of five very active children from the ages of 5 to 11. After earning his Bachelor of Science degree out of St. Cloud State University, he joined Hewlett Packard and once the company split moved to Agilent Technologies. Seventeen years and multiple leadership roles later, he is currently a Global Client Computing Manager responsible for the global helpdesk organization and a staff of employees located in Asia Pacific, Europe and the Americas. Daniel lives for the times he can spend with his family and also enjoys remodeling their house, reading, fishing and playing tennis. He is also a singer/song writer and frequently plays with the band at his local church where they are very active. When Daniel is not working or spending time with his family, he enjoys volunteering at The House of Neighborly Service, the United Way, Habitat for Humanity, and Resurrection Fellowship. Mr. Filler is a member of the Helpdesk Institute and resides on the Boyd Lake Shores HOA board.

Board Secretary, Jennifer Thayer

Term: July 2014 - June 2017, Parent Representative

Jennifer and her husband Nicholas have two children, both of whom currently attend LCS. Her family moved to Loveland in 2008 and became involved in helping to create LCS in 2010 through support letter writing, flyer campaigns, informational booths, and application review. Since then, she has been involved through classroom volunteering, grant reviews, and chairing the LCS Foundation Benefit Auction.

Jennifer graduated from the University of Wyoming with a BS in Biomedical/Electrical Engineering. She worked at HP for 10 years in electrical/firmware development before "retiring" to raise her children. Jennifer enjoys spending time and travelling with her family, supporting her children & their activities, making crafts with/for family, and spending time outdoors.

Board Treasurer, S. Tracy Trussell, PhD

Term: July 2014 - June 2017

Tracy is married to his high school sweetheart, Mary. Tracy and Mary have two children that are both deceased. Tracy has taught students in high school and three different universities. The last teaching assignment included teaching the quantitative courses in the MBA program, including finance courses. Administrative responsibilities include high school, two-year college, university, and state department positions. Financial management decisions were made at each level. Tracy established a financial services company and directed all aspects of this LLC. Mary and Tracy have lived in the Loveland area since 2000. Tracy graduated from Auburn University and Colorado State University. Mary and Tracy enjoy travelling, hiking, camping, and serving others.

Director, Michael Meyer, PhD

Term: January 2012 - December 2015, Parent Representative

Michael is married and the father of three children, one of whom attends LCS. Initially pursuing an elementary education degree, he changed his focus to IT and earned his Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. Mr. Meyer continued his education, recently receiving his PHD in Integrative Medicine. Michael has been working in the healthcare industry for the last 14 years and manages development of analytic databases and physician facing front end applications to facilitate electronic medical records. He holds numerous professional designations including Professional Project Manager, Six Sigma Black belt, and Certified Professional Health Information Technology. He is an avid beekeeper, skier, gardener and wood turner. Additionally, he is actively involved in service work with his church, Timberline in Fort Collins.

Director, N. Joshua Dart, Esq.

Term: July 2015 - June 2018

N. Joshua and his wife Jennifer are the proud parents of four children, two of which currently attend Loveland Classical Schools. Upon his graduation from Gonzaga University School of Law in Spokane, Washington (Jennifer's home town), the Dart family moved to Larimer County in April 2010. The family found a home in Berthoud in November 2012, and were thrilled to find a school offering a classical education only minutes away. Mr. Dart is now licensed to practice law in several states including Colorado, and is Shareholder of a Law Firm with headquarters in Loveland and offices in Cheyenne and Denver. Prior to graduate school Mr. Dart was a serial entrepreneur in the Silicon Valley from 1998 to 2001. Mr Dart was also a Licensed Optician and Manager who worked closely with Optometrists for over 16 years. Mr. Dart currently serves as the Vice President of the Berthoud Community Library District Board of Trustees, he and Jennifer are active members of Faith Evangelical Church. Raised primarily in Southeast Alaska, Mr. Dart enjoys camping, fishing, hunting and all levels of baseball.

Director, Denise Dicks

Term: July 2015 - June 2018

Denise and her husband, Brent, have two children who both attend Loveland Classical Schools. They have been involved since the formative days of LCS, attending one of the first ‘would you be interested…’ meetings. Their daughter started Kindergarten during LCS’s inaugural year.

Denise has over 20 years of experience in Human Resources, ranging from recruitment to managing an HR department at a technical staffing firm. She graduated from John Brown University with her Bachelor of Science in Business and Accounting and received her Master of Arts in Organizational Management from University of Phoenix.

She enjoys volunteering for reading groups, helping in the classroom, coordinating classroom volunteers, and assisting at the benefit auctions. She helped in the early stages to develop the school’s volunteer database. She is devoted to the success of her kids, LCS students and the school.

Denise and her family enjoy camping, shooting, canoeing and archery. During many weekends throughout the year you will find them cheering on the kids in basketball, T-ball, soccer and swimming. Should she find herself alone, she enjoys walking and reading.

The LCS Board of Directors is currently seeking candidates to appoint to one open position. To ensure the board has the breadth and depth to govern effectively, the skill sets currently seen as most critical and being pursued, as per the Board Development Matrix, is marketing and outreach expertise.
